Sound / moving image / direction
Original sound, electronic performance, field material, camera and site methodology.
Sharkbeams Culture is an independent cultural practice developing original site-responsive work through sound, image, body, moving image and place. Each commission begins with the conditions already present in its environment.

Sharkbeams Culture is built around two ongoing artistic practices meeting a third force: the place itself. Évian Cafun works through sound, moving image, electronic performance and direction. Yuuki works through visual art, body, image and physical response.
The purpose is not to overwhelm a site. It is to alter how that site is perceived.
How can sound, image + body alter the way a place is perceived
without erasing the place itself?
Scale, material, thresholds, windows, voids, boundaries and the way the building is occupied.
Natural and artificial light, shadow, weather and change over the duration of the work.
Reverberation, leakage, mechanical sound, voices, silence and the sonic material already present.
Where people walk, stop, gather, look, avoid and change direction.
Where someone stands can alter the relationship between performer, image, sound and architecture.
Évian and Yuuki do not need to perceive a site in the same way. Their independent readings, disagreements and reactions become part of the research. The work is built through that negotiation rather than by forcing one medium to illustrate the other.

Original sound, electronic performance, field material, camera and site methodology.

Painting, image, colour, gesture and site-responsive physical performance.

Yuuki's existing exhibition practice anchors the visual side in work that predates the project. Sharkbeams brings that language into a site-responsive relationship with sound, body and place.
Each study and commission follows a research sequence: SITE READ → TENSION → SCORE → PERFORMANCE → AFTERIMAGE. The site is observed, questioned, scored, performed and then read again.
